Thanks for checking the “about” area. I guess now I am suppose to put something rather interesting about myself so you don’t feel like your wasting your time? Well since this blog is about homebrewing and its obviously one of my main hobbies I wont bore you with all the awesome stuff I do in the world.
I am a homebrewer, I have only been brewing for about 1 1/2 years. My craftmenship so far has been limited to partial mashes. However my next batch will be all grain, which I will be posting about in the near future!
I have brewed the following so far,
Summer (lawnmower) ale – extract from northernbrewer
IPA – extract from northernbrewer
IPA - extract w/steeped grains from Ben’s Homebrew
American Golden – extract w/steeped grains from Ben’s Homebrew
Irish Red – partial mash from Ben’s Homebrew
English Brown – partial mash from Ben’s Homebrew
Light Lager – partial mash from Austin Homebrew Supply (Secondary)
Apricot Hefeweizen – partial mash from Austin Homebrew Supply (Primary)
Malkore’s Mead – Austin Homebrew Supply / Kitchen (Primary)
I have 3 hop rhizomes planted this year,
Centennial
Kent Golding
Willamette
And I have a keezer with 3 taps, I have finally graduated away from bottles this past winter! *hooray*
On a more personal note:
I am happily married to my lovely wife and have 2 children with 1 more on the way. (due in sept) Outside of homebrewing I am a pretty active gamer, mostly in the world of mmorpgs. Currently playing Age of Conan. I also am somewhat obsessive about weather, and have a slight addiction to severe storms. Would be a chaser, but my wife feels I would die. =P
